About the Role:
Our industry is growing and we are part of the action. We are expanding our mechanical maintenance team working on hydropower and geothermal projects.
As a Mechanical Fitter with us, you’ll enjoy getting out to a variety of client sites, working with a close-knit team and taking pride in a job well done.
You:
Our team are motivated and pull together to get their work done on time, or early, to impress our clients. You’ll fit right in if you offer:
A trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Turning, Maintenance and Diagnostics or a comparable trade;
Experience with power generation equipment and/or heavy rotating plant;
Machinery/plant maintenance experience;
Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safe working practices and quality procedures.
Flexibility to work extended and flexible hours as and when required (including periodic work outside of Taupo).
Key Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for the overhaul of geothermal and hydro turbines you’ll be involved with:
Plant outages and shuts, annual maintenance and overhauls for power stations
Turbines, heavy rotating equipment, cranage, valves, pumps, fans, heat exchangers etc.
