Supporting our strategic goals we are expanding our geothermal steam turbine services and progressing to a service delivery model for rotating equipment.

Working alongside industry-recognised engineers, including our Principal Turbine Engineer, you’ll enjoy being upskilled in new technology, including photogrammetry and laser alignment.  You’ll get to work on some pretty cool projects on a variety of client sites with significant opportunities to work internationally.

You:

An experienced turbine fitter you’ll be recognised in the industry for your specialised knowledge.  You’ll really stand out if you are also passionate about quality and process and not one to shy away from the associated paperwork.

·         Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Turning, or similar

·         Machinery/ plant maintenance and installation experience

·         Strong critical thinking skills

·         Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Deadline driven with ability to adjust to changing schedules

·         Commitment to safe working practices

·         Flexibility to work extended and flexible hours as and when required (including periodic work outside of Taupo)

·         Knowledge in the fields of vibration, photogrammetry and thermodynamics would be of value

Role:

Primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of the heavy rotating machinery in power generation application, this role involves:

·         Reading drawings and technical documentation

·         Shipping and receiving supplies of tools and equipment

·         Using precision measuring equipment

·         Determining equipment specifications for assigned projects
